Eric Milnes

Eric Milnes, Harpsichord, has received critical acclaim in Europe and the United States as one of this country's most exciting and dynamic conductors and historical keyboard performers. He was trained in conducting, piano, organ and harpsichord at Columbia University, The Juilliard School and the State University of New York at Stony Brook where he is a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree. He has appeared as a conductor or recitalist in cities throughout the United States and Europe with such groups as New York Baroque, The Portland Baroque Orchestra, Sante Fe Chamber Music Festival, the Boston Early Music Festival, the Berkeley Bach Festival, the Connecticut Early Music Festival, and many others. Mr. Milnes is currently serving as Artistic Consultant to the New York Collegium, Gustav Leonhardt, Music Director. He has taught with the faculties of the Juilliard School, The State Conservatory of Music in Oslo, Norway, The Musikkonservatorium in Bergen, Norway, Hofstra University, William Patterson College and the Berkshire Choral Institute. Mr. Milnes can be heard on the Koch International, Dorian, Newport Classic, PGM Recordings and West Norwegian Productions recording labels.
